Amirtha Varshini

The magic that is the pristine art form of Bharatanatyam captured Amirtha Varshini Aravinda Venkatesan from early years. She eventually enrolled into Srimathi Sridevi Srinivas's classes when she was 8 to pursue the art. Aside from dance, she trained in other art forms such as playing string instruments, like the violin, viola and cello. Throughout Amirtha's high school career, she led and participated in several small ensembles and was also part of the Marlboro High School Pit Orchestra as a violinist, which won the Basie award for the best pit orchestra in 2022. Amirtha graduated from Marlboro High School this year, and is starting her college career at Rutgers Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy in the upcoming fall.

Sanjana has been learning Bharatanatyam under the guidance of Guru Sridevi Srinivas since she was six years old. As the years went by, her love for dance started to develop into one of her passions. Her inner feelings shine through each dance, as she believes that one's facial expressions convey narratives and evoke emtions. Through determination and hard work, her dedication is noteworthy. Along with dance, she knows how to play the piano and the clarinet as well. In September she will be a senior at South Brunswick High School. Her interests in school include science and literature, in which she wants to pursue medicine in the future. She loves to experience new things and travel with her family.
